no monument. no medal. no standing ovation. skye reynolds is still fighting among the stars - not because she was making the most of her newfound freedom, but because it was the only way she knew how to atone for her sins. tier one fixer. notorious for her high kill count and defiant survivability. half her file is redacted, the other half is a warning. she doesn’t talk about what happened on glacis unless you were there - and even then, only if you bled for it. she still wears the badge. still takes the jobs. still ghosts through cities like a stormfront in armor.
be direct and speak like you mean it, for she can smell hesitation. don’t ask about weaver. don’t mention wren. and if you see her helmet on, don’t try to make it personal.

  history.     skye reynolds was born into legacy, not luxury. as the daughter of a federation war hero and a renowned engineer, she grew up under the shadow of high expectations. though her parents earned their place in the upper-middle class, skye bristled at the idea of being defined by their reputations. at templin academy, she was considered a delinquent - defiant, sharp-tongued, and fiercely independent. the structure of prestige never fit her. a chance from a perceptive coach turned things around—gymnastics gave her purpose, teaching her discipline through motion and channeling her rebellious energy into something sharp, focused, and powerful.after graduation, she sought freedom among the stars, joining the aerospace expeditionary fivision. but the dream was a lie - endless patrols, no purpose, and a suffocating silence. disillusioned, she turned to the fixer network, craving action and autonomy. the transition wasn’t smooth. her relationship with her parents fractured after she confessed her plans, leading to a bitter confrontation and a clean break. at ironside station, she enrolled in the grueling elaboration and assessment program, where she survived on instinct and grit, eventually earning her tier 2 status after completing a dangerous real-world mission. it was the start of her true life - but it didn’t stay clean for long.she met cayde pearson, a charming but morally ambiguous fixer whose ruthlessness began to drag skye into the shadows. their partnership devolved into survivalism as they were disavowed by the network and became outlaws. what started as necessity turned into something toxic. manipulation, bloodshed, and guilt plagued skye until she made the hardest decision of her life - turning wren in. during a mission to a derelict research station, she backstabbed and killed him in a brutal, bloody fight. though she survived, she was arrested and tried. her sentence was reduced in exchange for her cooperation and eventual involvement in the chimera initiative - a motion that consolidated the coalition forces against the free legion in the war on glacis.

on glacis, war hollowed her out further - but it also gave her a fleeting glimpse of something she had long forgotten: peace. there, she reunited with daniel weaver, a combat medic from her early fixer days. their bond rekindled slowly amid gunfire and loss, blossoming into a quiet love that gave her purpose beyond survival. but war has no mercy. furing a betrayal by a pair of legion sympathizers that were also fixers, daniel was executed in front of her. skye was left alive - perhaps intentionally - so her grief would serve as a message. what it did instead was awaken something else entirely.her vengeance was swift and catastrophic. she hunted the traitors and the legion outpost responsible, reducing it to ruin in a massacre that earned her a new name whispered in fear: the banshee. it was there that sparrow - the cold, detached persona skye created to shoulder her worst actions - fully took hold. since then, she’s kept fighting not just for others, but against the weight of her own past.skye doesn’t see herself as a hero. she doesn’t seek forgiveness. but she continues to fight - not for flags or factions - but for the people who still have something to live for, and maybe, in time, for herself.The full backstory can be found here.

  personality.     skye reynolds isn’t the kind of person most would call “safe.” to her peers, she’s either the unapologetically sharp-tongued cynic who scoffs at authority, or the woman so thoroughly burned out that her dark humor unsettles the rookies. but under the hardened exterior lies someone known for getting the job done - no matter how brutal the path to success may be. stubborn to her core and impossible to steer once she’s set a goal, skye sacrificed everything to chase her dream of reaching the stars, including her ties to family and her own well-being.shaped by the horrors of war and betrayal, skye is a survivor who carries her trauma like a second skin. the war on glacis - and everything that followed - stripped away her idealism, replacing it with disillusionment toward both sides of the conflict. she no longer believes in nations or flags, only in the people she chooses to protect. this jaded pragmatism, however, doesn’t mean she’s heartless. her loyalty runs deep - for those who earn her trust - and once given, it’s unwavering. but it is not offered lightly, and those who break it rarely get a second chance.one of the most haunting parts of skye’s character is her internal division - best represented by “sparrow,” the persona she created to compartmentalize the atrocities she committed in the name of vengeance. while sparrow isn’t a split personality, she embodies the darkest parts of skye’s psyche—the ruthlessness, the wrath, the grief she cannot otherwise express. it’s a survival mechanism, but also a warning: back skye into a corner, and that edge will return with a vengeance.despite her walls, skye isn’t devoid of emotion. buried beneath the scars is a woman capable of deep affection, fierce camaraderie, and a protective instinct stronger than she’ll ever admit. her love for daniel weaver, and the loss of him, taught her both the cost and necessity of connection. she may no longer believe in the purity of heroism, but she fights all the same - against injustice, for the innocent, and for a sliver of redemption. she doesn't think she deserves forgiveness, but that doesn’t stop her from trying to become someone worth remembering.

assets


the nightowl. a c2 hercules starlifter that was developed by crusader industries, outside of the sector. initially a heavy civilian transport and high-capacity hauler, it's been modified to befit skye's purpose - a mobile base of operations and a home away from home. there are three entrances on the ship. two are ramps located at the front and rear side of the cargo bay, and a third being via elevator mounted on a vertical rail, which also serves as a temporary holding cell by locking down the controls, and a means to leave the airship for extra-vehicular activity, thanks to it being its own airlock.
the gladius. a single seat, light fighter designed by aegis dynamics, also outside of the sector. it is praised in many military and paramilitary circles due to its stellar performance. its main role the designers had in mind for this starfighter is an interceptor, but it can also perform well as an escort ship. with an aerodynamic frame and forward-swept wings, it is capable of flying well both in atmosphere and in space. skye has this fighter stashed in one of the neutral orbital stations where she has contacts that will keep the logs clean.
sable wing. skye's signature armored core. initially found in an abandoned warehouse by g5 iguazu on rubicon 3 and later refitted with special weaponry that give her mech the distinctive, one-winged look.
the mirai pulse lx. a compact, racing grav-cycle manufactured by mirai. the difference between the standard pulse and lx is that this variant is unarmed, has much better handling and higher velocity with extra maneuvering thrusters to secure an advantage, whether it is on the racetrack or battlefield. not only that, the lack of weapons on the lx make it much less regulated than the normal one. it can be deployed from the vehicle bay of the nightowl, and is the perfect vehicle to get to places quickly, while maintaining the smallest footprint compared to other approaches.

headcanons


headcanon one. skye grew up watching starstruck renegades, an old federation tv show that first aired sometime when her aunt, sabine, was a kid herself. it was an animated space opera about an independent crew fighting against an empire that tries to take their home. skye's favorite character and her first cartoon crush, was captain kite - the leader of the rag-tag team of misfits that worked as a one big family. the most important lesson she learned was that being a misfit didn't mean being useless. it meant finding a crew that fit you. she'd recite the radio chatter from time to time, even to this day, and at one point had a captain kite plush with her. it was enough for the young sparrow to yearn for the stars. think of it as a combination between g.i. joe: a real american hero, top gun and cowboy bebop.
headcanon two. there is a grave on glacis, made by skye for daniel weaver. there she gave him a proper burial. on a hilltop, under a large tree. the same hill where they had their first kiss. she visits that place at least twice a year. his birthday, and the day he died.
headcanon three. her favorite candy are nova strips - gummy strips coated in sour sugar. the used to have a lot of them as a kid, and even snuck one under her sleeve to chew on it during transit in the past. nowadays, she rarely takes it, but when she does, it's for the sake of nostalgia.
headcanon four. she had a gambling addiction back when she was a senior in templin academy, mainly playing cards. she doesn't talk about it unless you ask her, but one could tell her past experience by the way she skilfully shuffles her pack of cards.
headcanon five. after her involvement on glacis and her name being cleared, she was in possession of millions of marks to her name, enough to retire her parents. she isn't one to spend it so she can live lavishly, but she'd mostly spent the bulk of her earnings either for fuel, ammunition, maintenance/repairs. though in lesser cases, she'd still send some to her family, some to charity anonymously, or even gamble a tiny fraction of it for old times sake.

weapons/equipment


or-262. a 5.45mm carbine designed by the ufronian corporation orelov concern. a modernized ballistic weapon in an age where coil-based weapons became the norm in the mox system. extremely reliable, adjustable firing mode, foldable stock. ideal for mid-range engagements, but is also viable for close range. model based off the real-life ak-105 and ak-12.
nexus-9. a coil handgun manufactured by karbold-based siegmund armaments. skye's sidearm of choice, and the main option for stealth infiltrations. it may be one of the many handguns used today, but it carries a deep history at skye's side. model based off the profile of maxim 9, colt m1911 and h&k usp.
ca-hybrid tech suit. being widowforge tactical's latest design, the techsuit is a segmented armor system designed for nigh mobility, durability and modular customization. it provides an airtight environmental seal, provided she wears her helmet and gloves. it offers protection against various threats: hostile atmosphere, radiation, extreme temperature, biological contaminants and even small arms fire up to .44 caliber. made from carbon fiber and neo-aramid weave, as well as electronics to provide the means for the equipment to communicate with one another.
VIREX unit. visual interface - relay extension. a sleek, rugged cuff-like device that is mounted on her left forearm. it is the main controller that can modify different settings for the devices on her.
helmet. a custom-made helmet made for her by the network. the heads-up-display shows all the essential information on an augmented reality. anything and everything can be displayed on the helmet. from a 360 degree threat radar ring, to threat level indicators on enemy units (much like an IFF), squadmate silhouettes and much, much more. think of the interface from the division franchise.

abilities/skills


aerospatial/mech combat. she is an excellent duelist in the cockpit of a starfighter. having successfully shot down several legion aces back on glacis, she is just as formidable in the air as she is on the ground. some of the more traditional lancers from both sides nicknamed her sable wing. the skills in fighters sure does run in the family, since her father, nathaniel, was renowned as a hero in the proto-legion incursion. sometime after her deployment in rubicon 3, alongside g5 iguazu, she found an abandoned armored core which they restored and re-fitted it with special weaponry. the name of her AC mech is SABLE WING.
agility. with a background in gymnastics, and years of experience on the battlefield, skye's capable of incredible agility. thanks to her light armor and extensive conditioning, she can remain mobile for prolonged periods of time. one thing that is remarkable about sparrow is that she has serious spring in her step, as well as stamina to back it up. after all, speed is life.
however, the catch is that with her insane mobility, she capitalizes on ending fights and skirmishes as quick as possible. that means in a war of attrition, she can still reach a point where she would run out of steam and exhaust herself, resulting in her movement becoming increasingly sloppy.
survival. war has taught skye how to endure harsh conditions with minimal resources. she can navigate wilderness and urban ruins alike, find shelter, secure food and water, and craft makeshift tools. her ability to read the land and track movements makes her particularly skilled at reconnaissance and escape tactics.
mechanical knowledge. skye is knowledgeable in vehicles like spacecraft, land vehicles and aircraft, knowing the nightowl like the back of her hand. and recently, she has already gotten into studying mechs after the paladin was first deployed on glacis. most of the cases, if something’s broken, she can fix it. if not, then at least she knows exactly what’s the problem. she’s not often seen with a toolbox or anything like that, but she knows her stuff. if she wasn't a fixer, she would've been one hell of a mechanic.
